The clay pieces from the municipality of Manatuto have been produced since the time of our ancestors and their history and tradition are well known. To the traditional elements, the Art Sanan-Rai Inovativo Manatuto Group introduced an innovative element by trying to combine the characteristics of this local product and painting.
The creative expression of the group contributes to the artistic development and innovation of handicraft products, through the production of decorative clay pieces and painted canvases.
Group Profile
In 2015, Salvador Serpa founded the Art Sanan-Rai Inovativo Manatuto Group with the aim of developing the talent of young people in the Municipality of Manatuto and creating employment through painting clay pieces and canvases. In the future, this group dreams of founding a gallery that can become a Center for the Promotion of Art in the Municipality of Manatuto.
Currently, the group is composed of 5 people.
