About

Product: Woven products
In Uaro-Ana, weaving is a non-secret tradition because almost all women in Uaro-Ana know how to do it. This is a tradition from generation to generation that exists until this day. Uaro-Ana-Village is located near the beach and women are always doing activities connected to the sea, sometimes to help their spouses prepare the nets to go fishing, but they are always weaving. It is naturally easy for women in Uaro-Ana to weave but the challenge they face is that the essential materials they need are sometimes hard to find. Nevertheless, this situation did not cause them to stop weaving because they often have to buy the palm leaves from others for weaving.
The women named their group Eden, which was taken from the Bible as the place / garden where Adam and Eve lived, and they chose it with the idea of making their place e the same as Adam and Eve’s but also because they are involved in church activities.
