Since its establishment in 2008, the Homan Lisa Telu Group has developed its craftsmanship. Led by Olivia Serao, this group of 10 talented individuals (comprising 9 women and 1 man) has embarked on a mission to promote and preserve the renowned art of woven products.

The name “Lisa Telu” holds deep significance, derived from the Tokodede language where it symbolizes the essence of a “Sacred House.” In traditional Timorese culture, a sacred house serves as a sanctuary for revered items and a space where cultural ceremonies unfold. By adopting this evocative name, the group endeavors to honor their ancestral heritage and elevate their traditional practices to new heights.
